On Saturday team Flamingo’s met for the first time.  It was a great opportunity for us to catch up and get to know each other an hear about each other’s hopes and fears.  Emma our boat leader was also able to join us which was great and gave us some great insights into what to expect and about out boat and pilot (Eddie Spelling).  Apparently we have the best boat… whoo hoo – I am expecting jacuzzi’s onboard to keep me warm but the reality is far from that.  It was great to catch up with the team and our next outing will be to the six nations England v France game to bucket collect outside Whitton station to fundraise for Aspire.  In the meantime we are busy sorting out medicals and Channel Crossing memberships… oh and the all important what Flamingo gear can we find to wear (I have found a great site that does Flamingo flip flops of all shape and sizes).  Watch this space as we merchandise ourselves up in Pink.
